Sylmasta CAE3 Penetrating Superglue is a low viscosity, surface insensitive cyanoacrylate adhesive which is as thin as water. It penetrates porous surfaces and wicks into joints, cracks and other small areas which are not easily accessed. CAE3 Superglue has a general cure time of under 5 seconds on most substrates.
It is used in repair and restoration, assembly, kit building and model making applications. Pre-assembled parts can be locked in place using CA3 Superglue. Just one drop of CAE3 will wick into joints between parts, permanently bonding them together.
CAE3 Superglue flows easily into small and hard-to-access areas. It seals porous surfaces and is thin enough to permanently set knots tied in cord. Its cyanoacrylate formulation enables it to bond difficult substrates in lower humidity situations.
It will cure in under 3 seconds on balsa and under 5 seconds on nitrile rubber, neoprene and EPDM. Cure speed on PVC is 3–10 seconds, steel 10–20 seconds and polycarbonate 10–40 seconds. For specific cure times based on substrate, please see the Technical Data Sheet.
CAE3 Superglue sets clear and has a softening point of approximately 130°C. It achieves a full cure in 24 hours and is available in 20g or 500g bottles.

Sylmasta CAE3 Superglue is effective on surfaces including plastic, wood, rubber, porcelain, fine china, ceramics and jewellery. Parts requiring repair are held together whilst the superglue bonds, based on the cure time for the substrate.
To ensure CAE3 Superglue is not absorbed when used with porous materials, Superglue Activator is used to coat surfaces prior to the application of the glue.
Activator acts as an accelerator for the cure time of cyanoacrylate superglue, enabling CAE3 Superglue to set instantly before it can seep into wood, card, fabrics and other absorbent surfaces.

Medium viscosity cyanoacrylate superglue for general use. It forms instant bonds when sticking plastics, metal, porcelain, fine china, ceramics, jewellery and other materials, with a cure time of 3 seconds or less on non-absorbent surfaces.

Accelerates the cure time of any grade of Sylmasta Cyanoacrylate Superglue. It enables rapid adhesion between otherwise slower-to-bond substrates, and prevents porous surfaces absorbing lower viscosity superglues. Activator is available in 50ml bottles for application with a brush or 200ml aerosol for directly spraying onto parts requiring bonding.
