Superfast Wood Epoxy Putty Stick is a fast-working, wood-filled epoxy putty in an easy-to-use stick format. When cured, it shares an appearance, hardness and density similar to wood. It is used as a filler in restoration and repair applications and for high-strength bonding between wood and other substrates.
Each Wood Stick weighs 60g, has a nominal 22mm diameter and is 175mm long. It contains resin on the outside and hardener in the middle. The user simply cuts off the required amount of putty from the Stick and kneads by hand before applying to the substrate to be repaired or bonded.
Superfast Wood repairs knotholes, dry rot and wooden frames. It seamlessly fills cracks and gaps in flooring, fencing, decking, and other woodwork. It can be stained once cured and accepts some types of oil-based stains during the mixing process.
It permanently bonds broken wooden items such as furniture and decorations back together. It also bonds wood to metal, glass, masonry and most types of plastic in craft and restoration tasks.
Superfast Wood can be carved to create wood-like ornaments. It holds intricate details and its 25-minute work time is long enough for it to be carefully sculpted and formed. A full cure is achieved in one hour.
The cured material is resistant to water, chemicals and offers temperature resistance up to 150ºC. It does not rot, making it suitable for garden and outdoor repairs. Once cured, it can be drilled, sawed, filed, sanded, painted or stained.

Superfast Wood Epoxy Putty Stick Details
To use a Superfast Wood Stick, the amount of epoxy putty required is cut off and kneaded by hand until it turns a uniform beige colour with no streaks.
Whilst soft, the putty is shaped and used as required. For wood filler applications, it is pushed into holes and cracks where it will cure to fill the damage area. For bonding, you apply the putty and use it to attach the pieces requiring repair together.
Superfast Wood has a work life of between 15-25 minutes. Within one hour, it will harden and form a cohesive bond. It contains no solvents or VOC’s, it is non-flammable and releases no noxious fumes.
It will not shrink or pull away and the unused portion of Wood Stick stays fresh for future use when saved in its original package.
For making more complex wood repairs, please see Sylmasta AB Original Epoxy Putty Stick. AB Original comes with an extended two-hour work time, giving longer to shape, mould and apply the putty than the 25 minutes offered by Superfast Wood.
